The Largest Airport in Hungary
Aegean Airlines operates through Ferenc Liszt International Airport in Budapest. The largest airport in Hungary features a large number of retail and duty free shops, restaurants, banks and foreign exchange points, car rental agencies and free Wi-Fi. If you are fascinated by the site of aeroplanes landing and taking off, the airport observatory is the perfect spot to pass the time while you are waiting.
Getting to and from the Airport
Budapest Airport is 16 km from the city centre and is accessible by bus, train or taxi. If you prefer the metro, the M3 line will get you to Kőbánya-Kispest Station and from there, you can take bus No 200E to the airport. The same bus route connects the airport with the nearest railway station in Ferihegy. From there, trains will take you to the Nyugati Railway Terminal in Budapest in half an hour. Note that taxis accept credit cards. Private minibuses also make transfers to and from the airport and may be booked by telephone or online.
